Changework - how?
Each person, no matter their circumstances, makes endless little choices a day. To take a walk or stay indoors, shake hands with their new in-law or give them a hug, complain about the past or start letting it go.
Most of our choices are taken without any conscious thought at all – they’re habitual. But these choices powerfully determine how we experience life. What if you could make better choices to enhance your life?
Your brain is a powerful tool. You can do amazing things with it, including influencing the health of your body and mind.
I know it’s common to resist change but people do make remarkable positive changes. I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it myself. I am trained and experienced in NLP, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching. I can help you get change with interpersonal, emotional or physical issues, step by step and often surprisingly quickly.
Karen had a flying phobia for 20 years before coming to see me. She wanted to be calm and confident, like other people are when flying. No matter how often people told her that flying was safer than her daily commute, her mind/body was stuck with this phobic thinking and behaviour until she had a session of NLP, Life Coaching and Clinical Hypnotherapy.
What is NLP?
NLP is an efficient way to get change if you have unwanted thoughts, feelings or habits. If you want to move forwards you will need to train your brain to do things differently. NLP identifies the simple ingredients for a human being to succeed. I can assist you to identify the patterns of behaviour and thinking that are keeping you stuck. You can then learn new strategies surprisingly quickly to achieve what you want.
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Neuro is the mind/body interaction. Our brain interprets the world that our senses experience.
Linguistic looks at how our language affects our thinking and behaviour.
Programming is nothing to do with ‘being programmed’! It is the analysis of everyday thinking and behaviour patterns that people use.
What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is NOT stage hypnosis. Rather, Clinical Hypnotherapy allows a therapist to guide you into a pleasant relaxed state so that you can more easily gain access to the powerful unconscious part of your mind that controls your central nervous system and patterns of behaviour.
So Karen (see grey boxes), whilst in a lovely relaxed state, learned to create a new way of feeling and behaving. She was then able to visualise herself being confident and calm when flying. She hadn’t been able to do this kind of positive rehearsing without the help of Clinical Hypnotherapy. It made all the difference to her success.
